Since 1926, ACI has cooperated with schools, health agencies, industry and other organizations to get the job done. Over the years, our work has been possible because of our ability to build and sustain partnerships. Today, relationship building continues to be the backbone of ACI.

We have relationships with many organizations in other countries, including ABIPLA, ACCORD Australasia, Detergents Europe, JSDA, CCSPA, CANIPEC, CCIA, TSDA, CASIC, ALIADA and IHPCIA through INCPA, CEFIC and its Sector Groups (e.g., CESIO and APAG).

ACI collaborations include working with organizations and influencers to raise awareness about laundry safety issues through our Packets Up campaign.

CDC

Healthy Schools, Healthy People is a joint initiative between ACI and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) dedicated to supporting school systems nationwide with tools to help reinforce hand hygiene and cleaning practices to prevent the spread of infectious disease and reduce related absenteeism.

Clean the World

Clean the World is a social enterprise with the mission of saving millions of lives around the world. They distribute recycled soap and hygiene products from hotels to families in need. Through the annual ACI Convention, and events such as the Charity Duck Race and Hygiene Kit Build, the cleaning products industry has donated over $200,000 and helped build over 200,000 hygiene kits over the past decade. 

EPA Safer Choice

Safer Choice is a voluntary program that works to advance the mission of EPA by helping consumers, businesses, and purchasers find products that perform and contain ingredients that are safer for human health and the environment. ACI is proud to have been named an EPA Safer Choice Partner of the Year for the last two years.

Good360

Good360 a national nonprofit, is the global leader in product philanthropy and purposeful giving and partners with hundreds of socially responsible companies to source highly needed products and distribute them through a network of diverse nonprofits that support people in need, including survivors of disasters. ACI connects our members with opportunities for purposeful, impactful giving.

Poison Prevention Week Council

The United States Congress established National Poison Prevention Week in 1961 (P.L. 87-319). Shortly thereafter, the Poison Prevention Week Council was organized to coordinate this annual event and promote poison prevention. Now more than 50 years later, the Council continues to use National Poison Prevention Week to highlight the dangers of poisonings and how to prevent them. ACI works with the Council to prevent poisonings every day and help ensure the safety of children and adults in homes and communities.

Safe Kids Worldwide

Safe Kids Worldwide (SKW) is a nonprofit organization working to protect kids from preventable injuries, the number one cause of death for children in the United States. ACI and SKW work together to amplify key safety messages and raise awareness about the safe storage and safe use of cleaning products.

The Sustainability Consortium

The Sustainability Consortium (TSC) is a global non-profit organization transforming the consumer goods industry to deliver more sustainable consumer products. ACI and TSC came together to create the Cold Water Saves Initiative.
